When seconds matter, this gateway facilitates rapid shutdown of all system components through a connection to the building’s fire alarm system. It works by sending RS485 commands to inverters and optimisers, cutting off the DC current at module level and rendering the PV array electrically safe for fire or rescue teams.

Integration with Fire Alarm Control Panels

The unit includes two 5V alarm inputs and a ground terminal, allowing it to respond automatically to alarm signals. Once triggered, it disables SolarEdge inverters and limits voltage propagation across the system, ensuring code compliance and peace of mind for safety-conscious property owners.
